Grants are available through the Department of Trade and Industries ( DTI) Low Carbon Buildings Programme ( LCBP ).
The Low Carbon Buildings Programme aims to provide grants for micro-generation technologies. This includes Solar Thermal Hot Water and Heat Pumps to householders, community organisations, schools, the public and not for profit sector and private businesses.
The current grant scheme will provide a maximum of four hundred pounds towards the costs of having a Solar Thermal Hot Water system installed and up to one thousand two hundred pounds for GSHP, and nine hundred pounds for Air Source heat pumps The grant scheme is closely monitored by the DTI and a number of criterias need to be met in order to satisfy the terms and conditions of the grant.
