For those of you who are not familiar with the term "Solar Thermal", this refers to hot water which has been generated through Solar panels and then stored for use at your convenience.
There are a number of urban myths surrounding Solar Hot Water. Many people believe, or find it hard to believe that the UK climate can provide enough warmth for Solar Hot water and as a result under estimate its useful performance. In reality the external climate has little to do with the efficiency of Solat Thermal. Light is a key element and as such Solar Thermal produces better results during the summer months when the days are longer. However recent developments in Solar Thermal evacuated tube collectors means that they work with suprising results even during the winter months.
Typically Solar Thermal has only been used to create domestic hot water, and not for creating hot water for use in space heating (Central Heating). However recent developments in hot water storage means that Solar Thermal can now be combined to make a contribution towards space heating as well as providing a significant contribution towards creating your domestic hot water.
We specialise in the design and installation of Solar Hot Water systems. We have considerable experience in extracting the maximum energy from the hot water that is provided and in combining it with your current domestic hot water and heating system to provide outstanding results.
Having installed in the region of over 300 domestic and commercial Solar hot water systems we have considerable experience in the field of Solar Thermal. We also specialise in combining Solar Thermal with Ground Source or Air Source Heat Pumps to increase efficiency and reduce conventional energy demands.
A typical installation involves siting a Solar Panel measuring approximately 1.5 metres by 1 metre on the roof of your property, prefferably on a south facing elevation. This is then plumbed in to your existing hot water system. If the system is designed correctly it will provide the majority of your hot water, and in some cases we have seen it provide all of the customers domestic hot water requirements. However this does depend on the quantity of hot water that is required.
We provide a range of energy efficient products which really can make a difference to the way that you use energy. As a company we have been established for over 10 years and our aim is to ensure that you receive the highest level of customer focus and support. Our installation engineers are trained to government approved standard in Solar Thermal, and hold current approved and recognised certificates in both "Logic" and "G3" training for the installation of pressurised hot water systems, as required by law.
